Gabriela obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico in Spanish, with a minor in World Dance. She is a Master's student in the Hispanic Southwest Studies program, where she pursued her interest in Romantic languages and teaching Spanish as a second language. She would also like to teach English as a second language. Eventually, Gabriela would like to pursue a PhD in the language, culture and dance of the Southwest, Mexico and Brazil, with a focus on the appreciation, documentation and preservation of the three subjects.
