Jorge Estrada’s research interests include Gender and Sexuality in Contemporary Latino/a and Latin American Literatures, Queer Studies, Performance Studies, Critical Literary Theory, Transnational Feminisms, Popular Culture, Feminist and Queer Artistic Production, and Cultural Studies. Jorge teaches at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oneonta as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, where he started as a Dissertation Research Fellow. He previously taught at UNM as a Teaching Assistant, and also at the California State University, Fullerton as a Lecturer of Chicana and Chicano Studies. He is currently completing his dissertation, which will be defended in Spring 2017.
