Biography

Marco Torres is a Ph.D. candidate with a concentration in Latin American and Chican@ Literature. As a graduate student at UNM, Marco hopes to focus his research on gender, sexuality and women's movements through the lens of Literature. Among other of his interests are social movements, the representation on Queer people in literature and the dynamics of power and empowerment among several groups. Marco’s studies will primarily focus on the XX and XXI centuries.
