BiographyMariana Sierra graduated with a degree in Literary Studies at the National University of Colombia. In 2014, she earned a Master´s degree in Spanish Language and Spanish and Spanish-American Literature from the University of São Paulo with a dissertation about the interface between visual arts and literature in the essays of José Lezama Lima. She worked as an Instructor of Spanish Literature and Spanish American Literature for the Paraíba State University from 2013 until 2015. Currently she is a first-year doctoral student in Hispanic and Brazilian literature. Her research interests focus on the representation of acts of citizenship and democracy in contemporary literary and filmic production of Brazil and Colombia.
