Querencias Conference

The Spanish and Portuguese Graduate Student Association (SPGSA) at the University of New Mexico is pleased to announce Querencias 2019. We welcome abstracts for presentations and themed or creative writing panels of up to 300 words (tables and references not included) in English, Portuguese or Spanish from Hispanic Literature, Hispanic Linguistics, Portuguese Literature, and Southwest and Latin American Studies.  This years keynote speakers are Dr. Anna Nogar and Dr. Judy Bieber.

Each presenter will have 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes of discussion. For themed and creative writing panels, each presenter will have 20 minutes, plus 30 minutes of discussion for the panel as a whole. Presenters interested in this format are responsible for deciding who will be part of the suggested panel. Only one document should be submitted per panel. The document should include the proposed panel topic (300 words), and how each presenter will contribute to it (150 words).  Research on these topics are encouraged but not limited to:
