Three S&P members participated at a Brown Bag Presentation held by The Educational Linguistics Program on Monday, February 27. Marián Giraldez Elizo and Sarah Schulman, Spanish Ed. Ling. PhD candidates presented “Self Efficacies in Spanish and Heritage Language Learners in UNM Classrooms.”  Spanish Professor Damian Wilson also presented “The Heritage Language as a Complex Adaptive System: Applying Notions of Usage-based Linguistics to Heritage Language Instruction.” The spring semester is off to a steady and busy start with conferences, presentations and a lot of work.
