Bruna Almeida holds a B.A. in Portuguese, English, and Literatures from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil (2014). For more than seven years, she worked as a Head Teacher in bilingual and international schools in Brazil. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Portuguese at the University of New Mexico, where she is interested in researching how female authors use language to challenge dominant narratives and create space for marginalized voices.
