The Sabine Ulibarri Spanish as a Heritage Language Fund
This fund provides opportunities under the discretion of the Program Coordinator to promote the program goals of Spanish revitalization and maintenance of students from bilingual communities. Funds will be used to aid students who are studying abroad in Spanish immersion programs, to bring relevant artists and community members to cultural events on campus, and for educational and promotional materials. The Spanish as a Second Language Program Fund
This fund provides for student and instructor resources for those studying Spanish, including scholarships, professional development, and teaching materials. Donate to the The Spanish as a Second Language Program Fund.
The Medical Spanish Fund
The Medical Spanish Fund is available to pre-health students interested in improving their skills to communicate with the Spanish speaking population of New Mexico by enrolling in health related Spanish courses. The funds will support students by providing scholarships and resources, aiding in the development of Spanish speaking health professionals. Donate to the The Medical Spanish Fund.
Professor Margo Milleret Endowment for Portuguese
Professor Margo Milleret taught Portuguese from the late 1990s until 2015. During that time, she adapted the curriculum of the UNM Portuguese Program to meet the changing needs of Spanish-speaking students. As part of her legacy, Professor Milleret established this fund for faculty and students to enjoy travel and research opportunities, and to bring cultural and educational activities to campus. The Spanish and Portuguese Student Support Fund
Funds will be used broadly for student support, undergraduate or graduate, including but not limited to student supplies, scholarships, fellowships, student travel and expenses for research, conferences, presentations. Donate to The Spanish and Porutugese Student Support Fund.
The Latinx Linguists’ Fund
The Latinx Linguists’ Fund serves students of Linguistics who are first generation to college, low income, and/or members of ethnic groups traditionally underrepresented in graduate school. Any recipient must be focusing their studies on Linguistics or Hispanic Linguistics. Donate to the Latinx Linguists’ Fund.
