Fray Angélico Chávez Library

The Fray Angélico Chávez History Library is the institutional successor of New Mexico's oldest library (1851) and is part of the Palace of the Governors. A non-circulating, closed stack research facility, it preserves historical materials in many formats documenting the history of the state, the Southwest, and meso-America from pre-European contact to the present.

National Hispanic Cultural Center

The National Hispanic Cultural Center offers a variety of programs and activities throughout the year in various artistic disciplines. Currently the Center conducts programs in the visual arts, performing arts, history & literary arts, media arts and education.

Instituto Cervantes

Located at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, the Instituto Cervantes is a separate entity funded by the government of Spain and collaborates with the NHCC in organizing educational activities and cultural events. The Instituto Cervantes is a worldwide non-profit organization created by the Spanish Government in 1991. It is the largest organization in the world concerned with the teaching of Spanish. The mission of the Instituto Cervantes is to promote the teaching, study and use of Spanish as a second language and to contribute to the advancement of the Spanish, Hispanic and Latin American cultures throughout the world.

Spanish Resource Center

An arm of both the Spanish Embassy and the University of New Mexico, the Spanish Resource Center supports Spanish teaching and offers cultural program to the public. Its resource library offers a wealth of literature and materials about many aspects of Spanish life and culture.
