Biography

Barny is an international student from Nicaragua. He did his undergrad studies here at UNM, obtaining a BA in Linguistics and a BA and Spanish. Currently he is pursuing his MA in Hispanic Linguistics with a concentration in Nicaraguan dialect, its phonology and lexical variation. Other linguistics interests of his are English-Spanish bilingualism and language acquisition. He is also a TA in the Spanish as a Second language program. Outside academics he enjoys fútbol (Soccer) a lot, watching and playing it.
