Biography

Beatryz Menezes de Araújo holds a B.A. in Portuguese, English and its Literatures, from the University of Pernambuco, Brazil (2020). Beatryz taught English as a foreign language for several years during her undergraduate years and after graduation. She was a Fulbright Teaching Assistant at Washington and Lee University for the academic year of 2023-2024. She is currently pursuing a M.A. in Portuguese. She is interested in researching Brazilian culture and identity. After her master's degree, Bia intends to pursue a PhD in Latin American Studies.
