Biography
Martin Buck holds a B.A. in World Language Education – Spanish and Italian from DePaul University and an M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His primary research interest is sociolinguistics; he is particularly interested in the sociolinguistic implications of Spanish dialect contact in the United States. Marty is also passionate about critical language awareness pedagogies in language education and has taught Spanish, English, and Italian at various levels from preschool to post-secondary.
